The ACS712 measures current flowing through its screw terminals and outputs a proportional analog voltage centred at VCC/2, so it reads both directions of DC as well as AC. The Hall-effect principle keeps the measured circuit electrically isolated from your microcontroller. Use it to monitor solar charging, battery drain, motor load or appliance consumption.

Key features

  • AC and DC current, both directions
  • Galvanic isolation between load and logic
  • Analog output centred at 2.5 V
  • Three ranges: ±5 A (185 mV/A), ±20 A (100 mV/A), ±30 A (66 mV/A)
