The D1 Mini squeezes an ESP8266 with 4 MB flash, USB and a 3.3 V regulator into a 34 × 26 mm board. Its standard 16-pin layout accepts dozens of stackable shields — relays, OLEDs, temperature sensors, battery chargers — so you can build a finished device without a breadboard. It is a favourite for ESPHome and Tasmota smart-home sensors.
