CAD (computer-aided design) is how every physical product starts. We teach Fusion 360 and FreeCAD with a focus on parts that can actually be printed, machined or manufactured, and offer 3D modelling as a service when you need it done for you.
A nice render is not a product. Our CAD training follows design-for-manufacturing principles: wall thickness, tolerances, how parts fit and how they will be made. Because we print in-house, you see your designs become real objects and learn from each iteration.
Start where you are. Each stage ends with something you have built yourself.
Modules from the PlastiBytes mentorship that cover 3d design & cad.
4 weeks · Requires completion of Module 1 or basic 3D printing familiarity.
Introduction to Fusion 360 — workspace, tools, and constraints · FreeCAD for open-source design workflows · Design-for-manufacturing (DFM) principles
See the programme →3 weeks · Requires Modules 1 and 2.
Iterative design methodology — build, test, improve cycles · Understanding tolerances and fit (clearance, interference) · Multi-material and multi-component assemblies

Expert 3D modeling, CAD design, and engineering services for product development and manufacturing.
Learn more →Comprehensive product development from concept to market-ready solutions for African entrepreneurs.
Learn more →High-quality 3D printing services for prototyping, small-batch production, and custom manufacturing.
Learn more →Fusion 360 is a good first choice: it is free for personal and hobby use and covers modelling, assemblies and preparing files for printing. We also teach FreeCAD for a fully open-source workflow.
A computer with at least 8 GB of RAM running Windows, macOS or Linux is enough for the training projects.
Yes. Our 3D Modelling & Design service creates models and engineering drawings for prototypes and manufacturing, and we can print them for you too.
