Robotics brings together electronics, programming and mechanical design. At PlastiBytes you can learn it step by step with mentors who build robots for a living, buy the boards, sensors and motors locally in FCFA, and print your own parts on our 3D printers.
A robot senses the world, decides what to do and acts on it. In practice that means a microcontroller such as an Arduino or ESP32, sensors (distance, light, temperature, motion, cameras), actuators (servo, stepper and DC motors) and a frame or mechanism, often 3D-printed. Learning robotics teaches you all of these at once, which is why it is one of the best entry points into engineering.
Start where you are. Each stage ends with something you have built yourself.

No. The robotics module starts with setting up an Arduino or ESP32 and writing your first programme. Basic electronics helps but is not required. A computer is enough to begin; parts can be bought as you go.
Our online shop sells microcontrollers, ESP32 boards, sensors, motors, drivers and batteries, priced in FCFA. Pay with MTN Mobile Money or Orange Money and collect in Buea or have it delivered.
Yes. We design group programmes for secondary schools, universities and youth organisations. Email info@plastibytes.com with the subject "Group Mentorship" and tell us how many learners you have.
Yes. Our Robotics & Automation service designs custom machines that automate repetitive work, from concept and prototype to installation.
Both. Mentorship sessions run in English and/or French as the group needs.
