The XIAO ESP32C3 packs Espressif's ESP32-C3 into a 21 × 17.8 mm board you can solder straight onto your own PCB. It runs a 160 MHz RISC-V core with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth LE 5, has a lithium battery charger on board and sips only about 44 µA in deep sleep, so a small LiPo can keep a sensor node alive for weeks. Program it from the Arduino IDE, ESP-IDF or MicroPython over its USB-C port.

Key features

  • 32-bit RISC-V ESP32-C3 at up to 160 MHz with 400 KB SRAM and 4 MB flash
  • 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 4 and Bluetooth LE 5 with an external U.FL antenna for better range
  • Battery charge management: connect a 3.7 V LiPo to the BAT pads and charge over USB-C
  • Deep sleep down to about 44 µA for battery-powered sensors
  • Castellated edges for surface mounting, breadboard friendly with headers

What's in the box

  • 1 × XIAO ESP32C3 board
  • 1 × U.FL Wi-Fi/BLE antenna
  • 2 × 7-pin headers (unsoldered)

Ideal for

  • Battery-powered IoT sensors
  • Wearables
  • BLE beacons and remotes
  • Home automation nodes

Good to know

  • Always connect the supplied antenna before using Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
  • GPIO pins are 3.3 V only — do not feed them 5 V signals.
